My painting inspires both a poem and a play for Medicine Ball Playwrights V. Poets

My painting "We Are All Immigrants" was one of seven visual artworks selected to serve as prompts for the creation of poems and plays for the 2017 production of Medicine Ball. This video is performance of the poem "Five Lovely Young Women" by poet Steve Potter, directed by Daniel Tarker. The actors are Jose Amador, Alysha Curry, Brit Hobson, and Fox Rain Matthews. The performance was on June 23, 2017 at the Erickson Theater in Seattle. The image of my painting is projected on the wall behind the actors as the poem is performed. The actual painting is installed in the lobby, and is oil on linen, 48"x60", 2017.
