A Stranger In The Hotel Corridor: What Would You Do?

What would you do if you were walking to your hotel room and a stranger was in the corridor?

First and foremost, if you feel uncomfortable when exiting an elevator due to a stranger lurking in the hallway, you have the option of getting back on the elevator and going down to the main floor. For men, this may not even cross their mind, but for women, like it or not, women are victimized more than men.

It is important to have good situational awareness along with looking for body language or ques that might give away what the strangers intent is. Either way, you have no idea what this stranger's intentions are. Observing them will help you determine what your next move should be. Maybe your option is to keep going and walk quickly to your room. Or maybe you decide to contact management and ask for help. It is always important to think of these options before they happen so that you have a plan and you are prepared.
