The ship with the MD Device is the Dreadnaught under command by Melody Bouck . The Other Dreadnaught is under Ender's command.
Humans are stuck on Earth without knowledge because of the ships with giant bulbs. The giant bulbs were spider crabs. When the spider crab would melt down quickly in real battle. The ships would crash and land on planets or float in space and die. The crash landings left no paper records as all digital records were lost due to power failure.
