Speaking to Sweden from space
ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano addresses attendees at the Stockholm Culture festival in Sweden live from the International Space Station on Tuesday 13 August.

This call between Luca on Station and ESA astronauts Tim Peake and Thomas Reiter on the ground was part of the event’s space theme, which also saw the premiere of multimedia experience Space Station Earth and a series of planets erected alongside the Royal Swedish Opera House.

During the call, Tim and Thomas asked Luca a number of questions submitted in advance by Swedish children. One particularly humorous question came from five-year-old Livia Antonsson who asked: Luca, if you did have hair, how would you wash your hair in space?
